Who I Work With
I work with adults, adolescents, couples and families. When a client is under the age of 15, I find that it is most effective to include the family system, parents or primary caregivers in weekly sessions.
Clients present with a range of mental and emotional challenges, including: anxiety and stress, depression, OCD, ADHD, relational and attachment issues, disordered eating and trauma.
It is an honor to earn the trust of my clients and to be let in to their worlds.
How I Work
I believe that we are relational beings who thrive when we feel connected to ourselves, those close to us and our communities. I take a thoughtful, compassionate, and sometimes playful approach to therapy. I am an active participant in our conversations, offering insights and feedback. I encourage you to be the curious observer of your own mind. You will learn skills and tools to regulate yourself and co-regulate with those closest to you. Working together, we will move toward closing the space between intention and action.
As a first step, I offer a complementary 20 minute consultation so we can both assess if we feel like a good fit. Thereafter, I meet with clients weekly. Individual sessions are 50 minutes. Couples and family sessions range from 60 to 120 minutes - I will collaborate with you to determine timing based on the number of people in session and your overall goals.
Rates and Insurance
In our initial 20 minute consultation, I will provide you with information about my rates and schedule. I encourage you to inquire about sliding scale rates if needed.
I can provide you with a monthly statement to submit to your insurance company for out-of-network reimbursement. Direct insurance payments are not accepted at this time. Please consult with your insurance company to verify coverage.
About Annie
I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT #154644) who takes a collaborative, relational, and strength-based approach to therapy. I believe in the power of human connection, and that each of us holds our own innate wisdom and capacity to regulate. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel seen, heard, and empowered to grow while encouraging awareness, accountability and lasting change.
I tailor my work with individuals, couples, parents, and families by pulling from evidence based therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Exposure Therapy, SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions), Family Systems Therapy, and Relational Life Therapy.
I earned my B.A. in Social Science from the University of Washington and my M.A. in Counseling Psychology from The Wright Institute. I've always been drawn to stories. Before becoming a psychotherapist, I spent decades crafting narratives in the world of restaurant marketing and public relations—bringing restaurant stories to life. Now I have the ultimate privilege of holding my clients stories. I find joy in singing with my daughters, exploring near and far, and spending meaningful time with my family and the people I love.
